Last weekend we decided to take Anne to the zoo. The petting zoo was a hit. She couldn't decide which goat to pet first. However, her new legs failed her as she walked across a disinfectant mat (used to protect the animals) and she fell right in the muddy disinfectant. After wiping her off, we went to see the monkeys, ducks, apes and kangaroos. All went well until we got to the giraffes. She stood up by the edge of the enclosure so she could get a better view of the baby giraffe. Once again, she missed her step, fell face first into a wooden post, and split her lip. Fortunately it wasn't too bad, and after a bottle all was forgotten.
