DC Cupcakes

We decided that since we live so close to Georgetown Cupcakes (the cupcake store that is the basis for the reality show DC Cupcakes), we would pop by and let the girls try one. So after watching a couple episodes of the show, we pumped the girls up about their impending visit to the "cupcake store". We knew that their would probably be a line, so we tried to get there as close to opening as possible.

Unfortunately, that wasn't early enough.

We decided that no cupcake was worth waiting in line for several hours. So, after fogging up the Georgetown Cupcake window and leaving it covered with beautiful baby hand prints, we took the girls to the wonderful Dean and Deluca store across the street. There we were able to buy gourmet cupcakes without a two hour wait.

Obviously, Claire approved and didn't seem to mind that her cupcake didn't have the "signature swirl" of a Georgetown Cupcake.
